My gray Milano Verde standing next to my friend's black Verde.
Also my black GTV6 parked next to my cousin's restaurant I was visiting yesterday.
Phone pictures not so good quality.

I just bought my first alfa!
'68 1750 GTV series 1. It's been repainted and re-upholstered but the looks really appeal to me.
I'm not sure how far to take the repairs/'restoration'. I think it certainly needs new wheels and i'm deciding between repainting the current ones (silver/grey) or shelling out for a new set (GTA's?). Also i figure i should pop some side mirrors on and maybe consider getting some appropriate badges for its boot/flanks.
Any comments/criticisms/ideas welcome!

thanks.
I wasn't sure about the roof at first but it turns out its VERY practical in Australia with the absence of air conditioning!

Lovely car! I think the wheels would look good in silver too. Is the sunroof a factory item? You realize of course that you have now contracted the Alfa disease we all suffer from here?

I'm sure it's an aftermarket, but it was apparently done when the car was pretty young.
regarding the 'alfa disease', i've found that driving the car, cleaning the car or buying stuff for the car reduces the burning/itch!

No No No!!! Don't mistake an easing of the symptoms for a cure of the disease. There is no anti-virus.

Stop, Stop, Stop,
point taken, but guys if we cant express our opinions here, then where?
I was not judging anybody, but lets be honest, if somebody thinks something doesn't look good, then they should be able to say so.
for example, on my car, I have 2 idiot (Talbot) mirrors on the front wings of my Spider, plus another on the door.
I think these look NAFF, I havnt changed them because the first owner has screwed them onto the wings, and if I took them off I'd have holes in the wings.
The mirrors spoil the whole line and symmetry of the car, I accept that, and people have said so, so what, they expressed their opinion and it didn't bother me what soever , so guys, lets not be so sensitive.
But if anybody felt offended, I'm sorry.
I think I've said my piece, so lets get on with our lives.

Hi my name is Greig & I'm an Alfaholic..........
Yup, got the disease bad, also have the itch syndrome & mine only gets relief when I buy another Alfa.
As to cptn WOW's wheels, I've got the same set, they are either original Cromadora's or a South African knock-off called Tiger Wheel Crusaders. My friend Ian's are done in fine silver, with the spoke edges & outside rim in polished aluminium, I plan to do mine in very light charcoal grey, with polished spoke edges & a polished outer rim.
These are the only set of after market rims I have for Alfa's & are destined for my '69 GT 1300 J, all my other cars run on original steel rims & hubcaps.
The sunroof is an after-market item, made by Webasto. It was discussed a few years ago on this site - check the GT/GTV archives.
I'd guess that your 1750 was exported to Oz from South Africa, there are lots of GTV's here with Webasto sun roofs.
With regard to comments - to each his own & also to each his opinion, Richard's comments & apology are noted, so let's move on.
Richard - That's a lovely Touring Spider, white really does suit the lines of those cars.
Ciao
Greig
