That is a beautiful car. Congratulations. My whole being is green with envy...
How does one find such a pristine example of a 'time capsule'????

Thanks for the positive comments on my 1973 "new" GTV 2000.
It is very interesting that the car is not perfect but near new and exactly how it was delivered (I can see why examples used normally and neglected would have deteriorated so quickly). It was stored under conditions of low light, off the ground and was started and run on stands over 30 years (registering 400 miles in 30 years in the process). Brakes and seals etc are therfore perfect and have not suffered the effects of being old. Trim is perfect and supple due to no sunlight. the paint is original but there are some (very minor) signs of factory or dealer touch up 30 odd years ago.
It was then purchased by another elderly gentleman who proceeded to put about 6,900 miles on it ,in a bit over three years, in long distance country running (so real wear is more like 1500 miles).
I have been responsible for the other 200! The Alfa drives exceptionally well.
I will arrange some better shots when I can as the ones posted do not convey the standard of the car very well.
Regards

BTW,
does anyone know of a genuine lower mileage one anywhere?
I don't think the Alfa Museum has a 2000 GTV. When I was there some years ago their example of this body /trim type was a 1300 junior, as the late European Juniors were.
Cheers

I can testify to the 'timewarp' condition of Andrew's 2000GTV - I've been using it as a reference while rebuilding my 1750GTV! It's also an eerie experience to drive. Would would have thought that a 105 Coupe could be quiet, smooth riding and have almost no wind noise - and everything electrical works too!
Andrew M is just the right sort of sad obsessive to own such a car too! See you tomorrow for more reference work Andrew
Cheers
Andrew S.

The kids look to be well taken care of . If that's a 190E 2.3-16 its a rare (fast) piece as well.
