My Junior

Just leaving some fotos of the new adition to my junior:
6,5" inch wheels with 195/65 R14 tires.

It's a 1969 Gt1300 Junior with Berlina 2000 mechanics and brakes.
It has the 4.3 LSD diff, it's VERY tail happy, I have a GTV 2000 and it isn't like this one. But the junior isn't with the suspension aligned... let's see what happens when all is OK...

The car is a work in progress, the interior still lacks the door cards and some trims, the right door window elevator needs work...

Want to take the bumpers off but have to wait to go through DVA inspection...

Are those widened steel wheels? Looks great!

Are you running a rear anti-sway bar? May try disconnecting it to see how it affects that tail-happy behavior.

yep, they are widened steel wheels. They came from the berlina donor, they were very rusted, the rim was destroyed. I took them to a wheel shop, they were cleaned and fitted with new wider rims.
Yeah, I have the standard rear sway bar, I'll try that after the car is aligned, thanks! Good idea!
I also want to lower the car, in the side foto the car had the old wheels in the boot so it looks more squat than it really is. How much would you sugest?
I want it to be streetable.

She is a bit high. You'll have to find a GTV around that you like the ride height of, and compare and contrast. Remember, removing coils from the front gives you something like a 2:1 ratio, unlike the rears, which is 1:1. I.e. if you cut 1" off the front coils, you'll drop the nose 2". I think the GTV's look great with just a bit of rear droop compared to the front.
Don't want to go too low up front, or you'll be hitting that lovely oil pan on dips in the road.
Also, if your trailing arm bushes are shot, the back end will steer around turns, and could be tail happy. Make sure those are fresh as well! Honda didn't invent 4 wheel steer!

Wow... I completly forgot about this thread!

It's been 2,5 years of motoring with my GT Junior and a lot of work has been made.

I've fitted bucket seats and a Alfaholics "blue" suspension kit. I still need to fit the Heavy Duty Montreal trailing arms bushes. But otherwise it's great!

I've already took it to a bunch of track days and absolutly love the car!
It hasn't had any real problems. It's been bomb proof!

Tomorrow I'll post some pictures of the car... (I'm not on my computer...)

Regards
