It's not the coolest, but it's ours. It's an original, documented Giannini 500 TV.

Question

Anthony, I looked at the site and it does have some neat pictures. They'd be even better if I could read the words.

I did some calculations on that Cinque Cento:

70 hp from 700 cc = 100hp/litre. The magic number for a normally aspirated engine.

70 hp in a 1,200 lb (545 kg) = 17.14lbs/HP. Supercar territory.

Brembo brakes and get this, you can get the option of a six speed sequential gearbox!

Putting a 4 cylinder Fiat 600 block, bored out to 750cc+, makes that car more of a 600 that a 500. I believe the hottest "real" 2 cylinder 500s were built by Giannini, and NOT Abarth.

It is my undersatnding that full-fledged racing cars in the under 500cc racing class which existed in Europe in the 1960s and 1970s had as much as 65 horsepower out of less than 500ccs, in a car that weighed around 1000 pounds!

Excellent!! Reminds me of the Apecar that the Italians like to race through the mountains.

Fiat 500 Abarth Replica

Another great looking 500.
The purists won't like the engine conversion:
Honda Blackbird 1100 engine with 163 bhp !!!
Chain driven
245 kph 0-100 kph 6 à 7 s
