Thumbs up

Thanks for posting these pics. I've seen pics of the 3000 GTZ but never the 2000. What a beautiful car.

The Volvo 3000 gtz is in terrible condition and has being waiting to be restored for ten years now.I tried to but it a couple of years ago but the owner wanted up to 1 miljon swedish. 85000 Pounds and there was work for at least 30000 pounds on it... The sdeller cant afford to restore but is too expensive.. Car still in sweden..

Are there any pictures available on the current condition of the 3000 GTZ? 85k Pounds is a lot of money.

To compare: The Fiat 850Z that also needs a complete restoration was for sale a bit over a year ago for Euro 12k. I thought that this was reasonable, given that it is the only known survivor from estimated 5 made.

Thanks for the photo's, I've been involved with old Volvo's for 30 years and never heard of the 2000, it looks lovely, Volvo had lots of interesting projects but the company was so conservative that they never got off the ground, the competition dept had lots of really good tuning bits available that were never homologated because Volvo refused to build specials.

Oh boy. At least the rust seems to be repaired. And completeness of all the "readily available" parts is to everybody's guess ... Very optimistic estimate on the 30k pounds ($60k) for the 'rest" of the restoration.

This thing is alumnimum build, correct?
