Hmm. Based on all the Alfa 2600 SZs I've seen, I hope the crappy Zagato bodywork and the randomness of pieces used in the production line will neither give you or your customer an ulcer. Both of you are in for some real adventure, which makes this project even more exciting!
Good Luck!

Wow, Those transaxle cars are really nice the engineering makes everything else look primative. From what I understand they are very well made too. What a great machine!! keep us informed.

Am I looking at a V-8 or inline 4? Beautiful car, timeless.

You are looking at the smoothest V6 engine of its time.
This engine is an evolution of Francesco Di Virgillio's masterpiece, which was the first ever mass produced V6 engine (presented on the Aurelia back in 1950).
The Flaminia Sport Zagato (373 pieces of total production + 70 Super Sport)is fitted with the 2458cc V6 engine, with max. power of 119bhp@5100rpm.
Current price for a nice example: over 40,000 euros in Italy.

Thank you once again GTV116, you are a wealth of information. I turned up the contrast/brightness of my old monitor, and alas, I do see a V-6

So will it be customized or is it a restoration?

Good luck. One of the most beautiful cars. I saw it at the Concorso and know the previous owner, which is a very nice guy and Lancia nut.
Car needs lots of lovin' but worth every bit of it.
Oh, by the way, if you can find me a nice series 1 or 2 Flaminia Sport for Euro 40k, sign me up!
