The advantage in restoring cars like this is that their bodies were all hand-formed which effectively means that no two cars were exactly alike. The task in restoring one of these cars, even one which requires extensive metal fabrication, is to faithfully reproduce the new panels with the same skill and techniques as the original builders. In restorations of post-war Italian exotic cars, it's the skill of the restorer that counts almost as much as the originality of the car's panels.
