California Mille Photo Gallery

We just posted a report and 75 images on this year's California Mille rally. In addition to the many Alfas in the rally, the other Italian entrants include Ferraris, Siatas, Lancias and an Abarth. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Great event, great photos--thanks.

BTW, Scott George's beautiful 1952 B20 (photo 12) can't be a B20S. Before 1954, Lancia didn't make any left hand drive Aurelia GTs, and in Lancia-speak that 'S' is for "sinistra", not "sport".

How could you miss a photo of Klaus Menzel's Giulietta Berlina that was driven
under it's own power from Ann Arbor and back for this event? It must be in the camera. Klaus is a classic in himself. "Da car never had seat belts so I von't ruin it by installing dem"

I agree. Klaus has driven that car across the country several times and he is an absolute legend.

We'll take a look and surely one will pop up - thanks. Great story.

Good to know - we went off the official entrants list and there are always one or two mistakes. We'll correct.

Klaus appears to be German. His response is exactly like my response when my partner asked why our classics do not have seat belts ... "das ist the way die came" ... :-)
