Uh, trying to get the threat back to the Simca. Greg, I hope it really pans out. Please keep us in the loop.

Also would love to learn more on your car. The Simca 8 and 9s are simply gorgeous. Please post some pics of the restoration of your car once you have it back, but maybe in another thread?

Great to hear that one of those gets restored in my backyard.

I couldn't resist since some asked what the thing looks like. I assuem it is the Farina-designed, Facel-built Simca 8 Sport ...

Thanks again or the kind words. I was able to pick the Simca up today, so it is back in my hands. A few extra bruises to the aluminum body and lighter wallet as a result of a deposit for work never performed, but at least the car is not lost. By the way, I'm still hunting for a passenger side door handle...
