Just because something is rare doesn't make it valuable. I doubt if the best TDM in the world would bring $15,000

Hi I own a 750 twin cam #1292 but also have the remains of a Tdm. You may have the car for a token sum, please call me and we can discuss it as it would be a perfect parts car, David 305 543 3922

will TRADE my 1959 Moretti 750 convertible for a collector car

No connection with the seller.
Really? I would have thought that was a reasonable price at UD$7k...I was looking for some Etceterini action when this car was twice the price (obviously never considered it then). Now I've spent my money, cars are coming out of the woodwork everywhere at decent prices. You guys have no idea how lucky you are over there in the States (oh, and Canada, of course).

The convertible has re-appeared here in Australia for AU$30k (~US$22k)!

I have been collecting information on the Moretti cars for about five years now. I am working on a Moretti history book, some info is at my site Moretti Registry

I'm just looking for a ballpark estimate here, but what dollar value would you guys put on my car if I were to sell it in the shape it's in?

Keeping in mind the body is solid, the engine seems in good shape minus the starter issues, and the car is complete and original with the exception of a hood emblem. (Not sure where it went over the years, but it wasn't located with the other bits of trim that came with the car.)

I realize the 750 TdM isn't a hot item in the collector world at the moment, but I may be forced to sell it in the near future due to necessity. Not my first choice, but life doesn't always give you choices.

Dansk its very hard to put a value due to the rarity. The car is a very interesting etceterini but as you know not as rare or collectible as some of the other slightly earlier Morettis. I gave mine to a friend who is in the process of restoring it but in general i would say more than 6k and less than 12k. The answer lies in who wants it and when they want it I would also say check with the DeBoers who may have a better idea as I may be way off base. Good luck. Keep me updated as if you have to sell I may be able to help you out, David

The car is officially on the market. Anyone interested, or who knows someone who may be interested, please contact me.

Stolze asked in april 2008:

"The price for the blue one is 10.500,- euro.
And the grey one is 8.500,- euro."

My opinion: far, far away from reality ....

Yes, my car is in considerably better shape than both of those. There's no way he'll get those prices for them.
