Of course, otherwise there'd undoubtedly be some punishment.

2 MPH in a Fulvia.
That won't ever raise an eyebrow in this community. Now, if you claimed that the speedo had flipped around and you were actually doing 162, that might have been greeted with some skepticism.

Oh! Hey.
Congratulations Ed.
Glad to see you got that POS rolling, even if it was at only 2 mph

Yeah, and it only took you twice to figure out it was the odometer.

Oh, and, just for the record, I don't care if the speedo does go to 145 mph; the HF absolutely won't do 135mph...

Hey everybody!! Guess what? It's Christmas Eve!! What are you folks doing today? I'm about to go do a bit of last minute shopping (my favorite kind!) and then I'll come back and cook Hungarian Chrsitmas Eve dinner, complete with Hurka sausage. I have two of my sons here, and Kathleen has two of hers, so we will have a pretty good bunch for our 'Santa' visit.

We got back from our NYC and Southampton visit last night. We had fun seeing family, but the traffic sucked.

What were we talking about anyway?

I think it had something to do with math and you trying to figure out how many you were having for dinner and how many presents you had left to buy...I don't think anyone here can help you with that other than to guess based on the information given. Or were the number of cars involved in the traffic supposed to be included also, as in the hours delay in your schedule that they created?

Let's see: I have the 4 boys, + x gifts + y cars + z hours of delay = 4+x+y+z or is that too simple, possibly some of them are exponential forms or have to be divided by something else?

Christmas Eve, I'm spending at Hyundai having my car serviced, I figure everyone else will be somewhere else....or that's my plan anyway.

Merry Christmas!

I was recently reminded that we are not "talking", we're "keyboarding", but that is too hard to say, er... type, so I'll continue to refer to it as "talking", which means I get to "say",

Merry Kwanza Christmakah to all and, if you recognize the reformed Julian (Gregorian) calendar, Happy New Year too!!!

Help me here, how do you have a "cool" yule with logs ablaze in the fireplace? Am I doing something wrong?

Today was my lucky day....last day of bumper-to-bumper warranty, just engine and power train left now, which I was not aware of since I was only watching the mileage, and they figured out what was wrong with several things, including a leaking valve, an injector mistimed spray, and a speedometer sensor and gear that have gone haywire....the best part, they get to fix them and wished me Merry Christmas!!!! Parts on order.

Try watching it from outside through the window.

It prolly was referring to the Yuletide.

There is an old beatnik joke:

A dude is standing on a corner in Greenwich Village, snapping his fingers and just exuding "cool".

An acquaintance comes along and says "Hey man, why are you snapping your fingers?"

"Keeps the lions and tigers away."

"There are no lions and tigers in Greenwich!"

"Does a hell of a job doesn't it."

You're thinking 'real fire'.

Pop a 'digital fireplace' DVD into the player--just like the real thing, only much cooler. Available at better stores everywhere (right next to the 'video aquarium' DVD). Admittedly, the DVD makes it something of a challenge to toast marshmellows--they tend to gum up the DVD player--but it's the perfect accompaniment to microwave popcorn and artificial snow.

Although in the case of the snow, the real stuff is definitely cool.

Thanks guys, you've made my day with such creativity and humor; none of them are the answer I half way expected. I must spend Christmas Day differently than most of you.

I wonder if that chilled champagne would clean-up the marshmallow mess, if it would make it worse, or if it would be a waste of perfectly good champagne?
