I sure hope that everyone got through the storms. This sure has been a rough season for the West Coast! Fires, storms, oil tankers, strikes...yikes! All this real news is making it really hard for the 'Stars' to stay in the spotlight!

C'mon people!!! Keep up!!!

On-Topic & Off-Topic Defined:

A contribution is on-topic if it is within the bounds of the current discussion and off-topic if not. The terms are normally used in the context of mailing lists, discussion groups, discussion forums, bulletin boards, newsgroups, and wikis.

It is a common courtesy to mark a new off-topic posting or email by beginning it with "OT" - eg in a forum discussing the Linux operating system someone might post: "OT: Wow, did you feel that earthquake?".

The term "off topic" is sometimes used to indicate a discussion venue where anything other than matters specifically addressed by the website in question are addressed. For example, an off topic category on an automobile related discussion forum may include talk about video games (which presumably have nothing to do with automobiles).

Internet trolls will sometimes post off topic messages deliberately on internet forums to aggravate members or hijack a discussion.

So, adhering to this threads title, Changing the subject within threads, mandates that one must go off topic in order to stay on topic.

As such, I spent 23 hours in the Library this past weekend.

OK Jim, for that you get OT - wait, that's OverTime, not Off Topic. Er......wait, that's both OT and OT.

Interesting off topic story - I heard an interview with Tori Amos last week. Because I-5 was closed south of Olympia, her entire entourage (3 buses and a truck) had to reroute from her Dec 2 show in Vancouver to get to Portland, via US 97 east of the Cascades. Then she had to do similar re-routing to come north to Seattle, and then back across Snoqualmie Pass (I-90) to head south to SF. Added several hours driving on each leg. And there were a LOT of people similarly affected.

Alex, do you mean to say that some people would deliberately try to aggravate members? I find that SO hard to believe.

I guess I shouldn't say what I heard about Mother Theresa in case my motives are misconstrued.

Some one once told me, I believe it was an automotive engineer, that women's and men's brains are wired differently....the latest entries in this thread certainly contribute to that belief.

On OT besides Off-topic and Over-time, there is also Old Testament, and what I think some of you need Occupational Therapy.....

Do you guys have jobs or just a lot of spare time on your hands?

Btw, 15 days and counting.....

Red face Changing the... well, you know.

If we didn't have spare time, we wouldn't own Alfa's or post on the BB.

To change the subject, as we are supposed to do in this thread:

Papajam, I have your tool. Send me a PM with shipping instructions.
Hows that?
