Well I've gone and done it!
In my happy days of youth, I bought one of these. Yesterday I went out and put a downpayment for one of these. I was sold on the car by just stepping on the gas and having a brief feeling of whiplash. It moves. I ordered the Road and Track package with 10 extra ponnies from the so called HEMI and other goodies. I can't wait for it to come.

Sweet. Now paint it orange, weld the doors shut, and start jumping in through the window.

Dave,
It looked like it was missing somthing so it took the liberty of modifying it for you.
Just this simple small mod is said to add 15-25hp alone.

I like it better with the Alfa grill on it. Makes it look like a 166. As far as how much, It will be about 33 grand when all is said and done. This will be my first new car. I've been resurrecting old throw aways before. I bought my Quad Spider in a fit of nostalgia about four years ago. I loved driving a doctors Duetto when he brought it in for service at a gas station that I worked at when I was a teenager.
There is a Base 164 for sale down the street I was seriously considering to get. My current winter car is a (sigh, yawn) 93 Ford Taurus that I got for free about five years ago. The last straw on the Taurus was the Subframe Mount rotting out at the rear. The Taurus has issues with rust, but not with the body. Oil pan rotted out! Chassis stuff rotted out! Gas tank rotted out! Quality is job one, only if you live in the sun belt.
I was going to keep driving the Taurus till 2007 and maybe buy a new Alfa but the Taurus let me down.
At least the Charger will be the same color as my Quad, Black.
Now I will have two Hemi cars. One real (Alfa) and one with a Badge (Dodge).

Very nice. Can't beat the American Iron...While it may not be quite the equiv to BMW or Audi it's also about 10-13k cheaper and faster! Very nice.... My wife will be needing a new car maybe in the next yr or so and the Charger and the 300C are definitely on the short list, if I can talk her out of another SUV...damm gas is a killer. Now just get her some 20'' wheels and you'll be smoking! Best of luck and get us some pics when she arrives.

Followup...
Went into Manhattan today for lunch etc etc. Great day. Anyway, saw this Charger RT parked, it was like a mist green color, a really light green. She had beautiful chrome rims on her, maybe 20" and a chrome mesh grille. It was definitelly one sharp looking HEMI.

I am going to take this opportunity to mention my new site. www.hiperformancestore.com . We have an excellent intake for that car in stock, 21 rwhp increase dyno verified.
I really like the new charger, although I like the 68-69 better. It went a little downhill in 1970 and way down after that.
