Anyone on the board involved with CNC milling?

I have an CAD file of a thing (engine related) that I'd like to make a prototype of. It's a surface model created in Alias Studio, and I can export all kinds of formats, but .IGES seem to work the best. I need to find a CNC mill that could help me machine said part. If it all works out it will probably be a short series, so a smaller place that enjoys Auto related stuff would probaly be a good idea.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers, Nick

Nick,

I work for a custom automation machinery builder.

There is a CNC mill here. The operating system is older, so G-Code is all it runs.

If you can export the file in G-Code format and tell me the tool, perhaps I can help.

Thanks for the offer, but G-Code I can't do. Bummer.

Nick,

Send me the IGES file. I'll see what can be done at this end to convert to G-Code. I know that SolidWorks opens IGES and STEP files, so either format should be fine.

Our head machinist tells me that if the part is relatively simple, this shouldn't be a problem.
