NY State Discount tires in Huntington Station
I'm considering them as an installer for tires purchased Tire Rack. Anyone have any 1st (or 2nd) hand knowledge about the quality of their tire installs.
I know the place has been called a dump but that doesn't concern me - I'm bringing in the wheels off the car.

Discount Tire is all over the country. They are also if I am correct, America's Tire. Both are tied to the Tire Rack out of Arizona. If I am incorrect, someone please clarify. I have bought tires from Discount Tire and America's Tire for my cars. I am pleased that is why I continue to shop there. Today I just replaced two tires for my GMC truck that I drive with tires from there. I got 71K off of a 40K tire. Free rotation is a plus but if you go on Saturday it can be a "long" wait to get it done. I have the replacement guarantee and it paid off today on the Acura as I have a nail in the sidewall. I got a replacement on order and will pay a prorated price to have it installed. Hope this helps.

Their service is impeccable, but their warehouse is a bit of a mess .................

^^ Getting back on track
The NYS Discount tire is (wayy) totally independant from the Discount Tire that you see advertised in auto mags. I brought my rims in with the old tires on. They mounted and balanced the new tires, which were delivered directly to them from Tire Rack, without an issue. I wouldn't have brought the car there (or most anywhere) to have the tires taken off .
