Anyone familiar with "Alfa Motors" of Brooklyn?

Hi,
I was strolling around in Brooklyn this past week and saw the Alfa logo on all sides of a garage at 547 Hicks St in Brooklyn, in Carroll Gardens, near the BQE. The place appears to be called Alfa Motors. I was wondering if anyone has used them, and whether they are actually knowledgeable about Alfas or not, and whether they are good and trustworthy.

Thanks!

The awnings didn't seem new to me. I think they are a relic from when Italian cars were sold in the states and when Italian people lived in Cobble Hill (Yeah I know some still do! ;-)

They may be worth a try, but I bet they haven't seen a GTV6 in 20 years

My '91 spider is there right now

I just posted about this place in another thread, but I used to go to Guiseppe as well - until he moved.

I've been in the area for a year and didn't know they were there until I ran into the owner when I was driving around the neighborhood one Saturday. I also found a business card on my window one day.

I called them because I needed an oil change and the basics, and I figured anyone was capable. I am impressed so far. They are nice, honest, and really did a good job of explaining what was wrong to me (something was off in the steering).

Their labor rate is good, and they work with IAP to get parts, as well as other places too.

I would recommend. I am planning on getting some additional work done and will be taking it there for sure.

Good luck,

Beth

Thanks for the reply! I will have to give them a try for an oil change myself.

Alfa Motors

No problem! Ask for Ami -- he runs the shop. You can tell him Beth referred you.

Maybe I'll see your GTV6 around the neighborhood
