Smile Turn Worker's Corner

This is a new place for helping to get information about NWARC turn worker requirements, sign up turn workers and keep track of the "Track bucks" and make everyone's job a little easier. To sign-up for turn working just log on to the NWARC website, click on track registration, establish your account with a username and password. This is the same process for driver registration. It will then show the upcoming events, hit continue until the registration page shows "Turn Worker registration" and sign up! Sounds simple!...That's what all computer geeks say! I am available at 253-549-2082, Jane Emerson at 206-634-2983 and Taru Ross has volunteered to run turn workers at the evening event on the 18th, he's at206-419-4191. Everyone is invited to be a Turn Worker...we need all the help we can get because the "Track Bug" attacks turn workers and they migrate to the track itself as driver's! Ciao, Joe Faherty

Maybe this wasn't such a great idea, since there haven't been any replies. We need turn workers for Wed's track event at Pacific Raceway July 23rd. Call me at 253-549-2082, email me at joeveloce or sign up on-line with Kathleen. Ciao, Joe

Just can't seem to get clear of this job.

I'll be there to help as needed. I didn't register for this one. Prefer turns 3 or 5 as I'd like to get some pictures.

Perhaps it's because those that want to work the corners are not members on the AlfaBB. Personally, I like to work the corners, especially at a two day event when the car breaks in my first session of the weekend, it give me something to do other than going home. However, at most of our events it's a dedicated (paid) crew that works the corners.

The day seemed to go well and the view was good from the turn worker stations. A few of us got a bit of a workout cleaning up oil when one car had an oil pickup hose come off his dry sump tank... close to 10 qts of oil were sprayed on the track from turn 3B to Turn 6. 90 pounds of Grease Sweep and 60+ minutes later it was cleaned up. We turn workers know how to party! Sorry for the two cars damaged during the day but overall it worked out well. Great job to the other volunteers who helped make the Pacific Raceways day go so well.

Comments from everyone was how well the turn workers performed! Great job under some challenging events. The new radios worked well and I'm working on replacing the flags that someone walked off with! What a great day with decent weather, good lunch some interesting cars to watch, organized exercise periods and track bux! Thanks to those who worked the turn! Ciao, Joe

Thanks For The Corner Workers

Thanks again for all the corner workers who volunteered their time for the sake of everyone having a safe time.

Special thanks to Brian Williams who was the ringleader during a stressful beginning of the season.

CALLING ALL ALFAS FOR THE NEXT EVENT! There were five? of us on track. Let's see more!

Any Pictures?

PS: Anyone out there have any pics or video to post? I saw a couple of cameras, one at Turn 7, and one at Turn 9 (yes, this means I do know where the turn workers stations are.)

Thanks again for all the volunteer efforts!

Corner workers turn!!

Joe -
I signed up on MSR - never done that before. I guess it's been a while since I worked turns!! You're right (of course) - this will be a great opportunity, and the long range forecast is for nice weather.
Maybe I can find a date?
