Fritz?

Anyone out there in the Great NW (or elsewhere) know or remember Fritz Duernberger from Vancouver? He was such a nice guy and such a craftsman. He and his wife gladly drove his beautiful Giulia TZ1 or SZ down the freeway to Washington for every kind of event, and drove them hard on the track. I believe he did all the restoration himself.

I saw Fritz last Monday at the BC Alfa Club meeting (now Italian Car Club of British Columbia). He sold the TZ a while ago and still has some other Alfas. While still a strong member of the Alfa community, he's now more interested in riding and restoring Italian motorcycles and bicycles. Fritz and Theresa are still the organizers of the annual Father's Day Italian car meet.

My TI used to belong to Fritz (in fact, I was told it has the crank from his old TZ1 in it).

Fritz!

Wow! I haven't heard Fritz's name come up in
a very long time. I remember when He bought
the SZ from Jerry Gamez (another name I haven't
heard in a long time). Good to hear He is still
envolved. A great car guy and a great guy.

How does one find out about this Italian car fest in BC on Fathers Day? I realize it conflicts with the National Convention, but one has to pick their vacations due to time constraints.
A Google search for the car club came up empty for me.

Christopher: The local club changed the name from BC Alfa Club to Pacific Coast Alfa Romeo Owners Association and has been rernamed again last year to Italian Car Club of British Columbia. The club doesn't have a web site anymore, but there is some infor on AlfaBB: A description for last year's event (and pictures) can be found in this thread. This year's event probably will be about the same (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, free attendance, no judging, etc -- just plain fun). I'll post more info when the City of North Vancouver approved the event.
