So had a tinker today.
got everything to bits and changed the servo in the mirror
So it now retracts. While in there discovered the ext temp sensor
which always read 20 so swapped that out and sorted the wiring.
sorted a few other niggles. All in all a gud day and my list of problems
Is about 50% shorter, happy days.

Been a while so thought I'd update.

My old man was over recently for several months,
he loved the car. Unfortunately he spent 6 weeks camping in
it! So first convenient sunshine I need to get it out,
Wash it, sterilize it inside and remove the smell of sweaty man
And remove the headlining which is sagging to the Max after 6 weeks
of rain, heat and sweat. Ill have to strip the material off and re attach with spray
Adhesive etc, whatever is required, find out once removed.
Still on the lookout for bum warmer switch if any one is in the know?
Looking forward to sorting and taking for a decent hoon again,
She's been on loan to 2 relatives over from UK for last 2+ months.
seriously missed her! So yeah, couple weeks for some tlc then we'll be hitting the road
In full force again.

b*m warmer switch

I've got some spare switches (and old seats for that matter) can you put up a pick of the switch you need so I can confirm I've got the right thing?

Kerry.

Thanks Kerry,

Ill get one up in the next day or two.
The one I'm after is just a bum warmer and the
Switch is ok its just the toggle legs have snapped off.
I've seen various switch assemblies but they all have
The seat adjustment incorporated aswell, my seat has the electronic levers
For adjustment and bum warmer is a switch of its own if
you understand what I'm saying. Ill get a pic up soon though.

Cheers,
Ben.

Right,
Apologies as its been a while.
I finally got everything sorted and here are pics of bum warmer switches.
First pic is gud one, second is naff one.
Its only the toggle that's broken though, the rest is fine.
I think the pics should make it fairly clear.

Hmmm, sorry, that switch is not something I've got spares of.

I take it you have Recaro's. (Don't tell me you have the Recaro adjustable rears or I'll turn so green I'll rival Kermit!)

I did see someone recently selling some Alfa Recaro electronics on ebay recently - I'll see if I can find the link.

nope

They are the Alfa seats not the recaros, no electric rears.
Thanks for your help anyway,
Turning out to be a very difficult bit of kit to locate.
No rush though, I have a lot of other things going on at the minute so I
Haven't actually laid hands on her for about 4 months apart from the clean.
Will probly be summer now before she comes out of hibernation.

Sorry all, I've been absent for some time. Had a lot happen in the last 2 years. Aside from the 25km trip to her new home, the QV has been sitting under a sheet in the garage getting no more than the occasional start. However, we're motivated now. My brother is coming over from the UK again and is borrowing my daily for 6 weeks. I only drive 40km a week these days and weather is nice so I'm sorting the QV! I have my spray adhesive and tomorrow I'm going to get that roof lining out and bloody well fix it. Then I will no longer be depressed by the sight of it, and I will get a WOF and reg and that car will see some tarmac again! If there are any meets on in the wellington region during march/april, I would love to make an appearance and meet some other alfisti's (and maybe drool on their cars if that's cool). :-)

So I spent 7 hours outside today sorting her out. Did a few things but the major was the roof liner, which is done. I'm no longer depressed by the sight of it and we're ready to roll down the WOF shop!

Nice QV.... I write to trade me occasionally and ask them to add Alfa Romeo to there list of cars for there parts section. Can others write and ask as well.. you can do it in comments and suggestions.. I'd managed to get them to add Alfa Romeo to the for sale list a while back to get it out of the "Other" section..

Can some of us write and get them to add Alfa Romeo in the Parts list now.... May help us list and find parts a bit easier in future.. Thanks Allie
