The car looks great, but why on earth are they calling it by that name? It sounds like a Korean car or a nick name for a butcher. I know it is a combination of Milano and Torino but what is wrong with calling it the Junior? Let's hope they change it before the car is released.

Well there was the Cagiva Mito....so it's not a real surprise that an Italian vehicle is named Mito. But Furiosa would have been better I think.

Apparently it's evocative with deep significance. Almost anything would have been better I think. Imagine trying to explain that name at barbeques.

They're obviously not expecting any vegetarians to buy it.

Vegetarians would have to buy a pair of them - Then they'd have two-mi-to's.
(yes, bad tomato joke)
Could be worse, they might have named it after what their road serviceman always says when they see it.

I find the baby's name odd, as well.
It not unknown for car models to change name for different markets, but maybe AR will not allow it?

Mito in Italian is a "myth", not far fetched as a name, especially for an Alfa

That might explain why it sounds OK to Italians. If you pronounce it in Italian it doesn't sound too bad but the trouble is most native English speakers will say "Meatoh" or, worse, "Mytoh". You only need to hear the way they pronounce some of the Fiat names, eg "Punto" as in the boat you go up the Thames in, or "Duecatto" etc. Maybe it will grow on us.

Actually, it is spelled Mi.To for a reason
It's an homage to Milano and Torino, two important cities in the history to Alfa Romeo.

Yes, I know that is the reason behind the name but I still find it odd. As I said, it sounds a little better if you say it in an Italian accent. I do think names have an effect on sales to some extent. What if Ford had called the Mustang the Gerbil or something? Anyway, going by the pictures, the car should sell on looks alone.
