145 Cloverleaf throttle cable snapped

Hi, I hope that someone out there can help.
Throttle cable snapped at the throttle body, I have been scratching my head for days.
How on earth do you replace the cable without dropping the engine?

I've looked at this drawing http://www.spangerum.com:7080/navi?C...=9&WINDOW_ID=1
I can't see it's too complicated, remove first at pedal, fix top end of new cabel to the old, remove cabel from trottle and pull up. Fix new cabel to trottle and fix gommet to hole in firewall and cabel at pedal.
Know it sounds easy and a lot of craling, swearing etc is involved.
Good luck
Erik

Smile Answer found - thanks Erik

Hi Erik, after much huffing and puffing, removing half of the engine and associated plumbing, I finally got to the bottom of the problem.

Sat just behind the injector manifold and bolted to the bulkhead is a metal box.
I had to remove some wiring and sound proofing / heat shielding to get to it.
After undoing two bolts I managed to slide it out of the way.
It revealed a white nylon bell crank.

On one side of the crank was the cable to the throttle unit.
On the other side is a cable to the accelerator pedal, so two cables in total.
One to inside the car and one to the throttle unit.

Just waiting for the cable now,

Many thanks

Ricardo...
