156 Short-Shift Kit?

Does anybody know of a short-shift kit for the 156 6-speed...?

I have installed the complete 156 GTA gearbox and shifter-assembly with cables and all in my 1995 164 LS (Super) - it shifts well - all 7 gears work perfectly, but now I am looking for a shorter throw!

Please email me at info@glenwoodalfa.com or buzz me at 425.941.4747 with any links/offers please, (or just post here...)

your best bet is to ask pjd30 AKA Alfa Dublin, owner of a monster of a turboed 147. He resides on www.alfa156.net

Imports loads of stuff from Japan so will know if one is available.

I doubt any is available moving Fulcrum is quite complicated on that stick assembly, not like the old integrales.

I have a track oriented 156 coverted with GTA mechanics. I shortend the gear stick about 40mm which helped. Was quite time consuming though. not just a question of using the hacksaw. That plastic reverse-lift-activator or whatawecallit had to be cut in three pieces and glued back together.

Hhhmm... For starters - How the heck does one remove the shift-knob? I tried twisting it, looked for grub-screws, pulled on it 6 ways to Sunday...
