Maserati 3200GT v Alfa GT V6 or 2.0 Selespeed

Hi folks,
Considering changing my 1750 mark 1 Bertone (1969) for a modern larger car as kids growing 5 +2.

I have driven a Maserati 3200 and 4200 both sound great but the buzz and chuckability of an Alfa is not there, so now considering a GT 3.2 or 2.0 (selespeed, I did like the 4200 gearbox!)
Any adivise would be good to hear

All the best

The Alfa GT is a redesign of the 147 (which is a redesign of the 156) and is on it's way out of production, as the 147 is soon to be replaced by the Milano (149). So it's likely their will be some good deals to make.
The GT is roomy - in the back, too, but the rear seat might be difficult to get in and out of, especially getting your yong children in a child seats and belted up. It is easy to get at luggage in the rear.
Wether you like 2,0 or 3,2 I can't say, the 2,0 is very nippy and good round bends, the 3,2 has a glorious sound track and is the motorway stormer, so make your pick. Both are drivers cars.

All lovely cars, so any of them should make you happy . Service costs for the 3200 put me off when i was looking into the idea of bying one. It was right up there with Ferrari. (German marked) This was a couple of years ago. Strangely it seems the 3200's generally appreciated in value since 2007

I know more then one GT 2.0 owner regretting not getting the 3.2, so it might be worth thouroughly testing if you can live without the V6.

Oh the 156 GTA is the best of the lot! Born Classic and proven to hold its price better then 147 GTA or GT 3.2. Good ones are now appreciating, so don't wait too long!

In Rosso Alfa I still think it's the best looking Alfa since '71.

This is my baby, only 15.000 km on her.

Hej Peter, I, too, must say your collection is impressive. Are you a member of the Danish Alfa club?
My own modest collection consists of my hart’s Bella, Spider Veloce 1750 1970 and an elderly 156 2.0, both have proven reliable and a joy to own.
