156 '02 blows no air to the windshield

The results are obvious: lots of fog unless you run the aircon. The fan itself works and all the other places get their share of air.

Has anybody experienced this and if yes, what was the remedy?

This is a fairly common fault with the 156. I had a new heater box fitted under warranty to fix it!

Apparently the deflector plate warps and then sticks. I have been told that if you remove the cover on the top of the dash it is possible to run a sharp blade around the plastic deflector plate to make a bit of clearance. Having done this it should be possible to assist the motors to move the plate. It doesnt need a tight fit as a little air leaking past will make no real difference.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

David
