Alfa 145 prodlem?

I have Alfa 145 1.4 boxer made in 1996 and by the specification it's engine have 66KW(90HP) but it's performance are not better than 1.3 tipo that my friend have. Tipo 1.3 have 51KW but the acceleraton is same like alfa. Is this because of the alfa's weight or something else?

yeah it could be the weight.
i have one as well, mine is a 2L tho.
hauls ***, whips a golf 4 gti all over the show.
maybe u shud try putting a cold air induction kit on it.
mite make a difference, especially at high speed
