Exclamation Alfa-GM Joint Venture in México

Just heard on the radio Alfa has signed a joint venture with GM to allow them to "distribute" their cars. This is great news to all!

First because the prices will have to come to a descent level.
Second because there will be many more options available.
Third because this will OPEN this posibility for the US!!!

We now have to wait and see what are the details behind this and if GM will be able to service Alfa. With this spare parts will also be available..........

Let's wait and see what happens..........

Regards,

Dear Eccarillo, how were Alfas distributed in Mexico prior to this agreement? Were they stand alone dealerships? Thanks, the general.

Generaljimt,

They are currently being brought into México by "independent" companies. One of them also sells Ferrari and Maserati.

What came on the news today is that beginning October the GM-Saab dealers will have Alfa's and the "independent" companies will disappear or will not be allowed to sell Alfas anymore.......??

I think there will still be "independent" companies going around for some time.

The good news is that GM-Alfa suppliers will fix all cars.........not older cars of course!

Regards,
