Hi everyone - this is my first post ...
...except it is because my Spider won't fire up
My car was working fine one minute - I stoppped at a shop - got back in and it won't fire up.
When I turn the ignition the car tries to fire up but won't spark.
I called a roadside breakdown service and after much testing he told me that it may have something to do with the 'Crankshaft sensor'. He said the sparks weren't sparking beacause the fuel injection wasn't injecting - and he said that might be because the crankshaft sensor is telling it not to. He said he couldn't find this 'crankshaft sensor' and so couldn't help me. No warning lights are on and I have pressed the fuel cut-off switch to reset that in case that had anything to do with it - all to no avail. I had to get towed home and it still won't start.
If anyone can give me any hints as to what to check/look into I would be very grateful. I don't want to have to pay loads of cash for a garage to take it away only to tell me it was something relatively simple!
Any help much appreciated!
Cheers.
