Thanks a lot for the pictures! Looks like a great weekend. Good to see John Morton still doing well. This is the greatest hobby bar none!

Sniady Class E????
No way! Right on. I had promised Sniady a ride a while ago, and it almost worked out at Buttonwillow. Next time, OK? Actually, Im glad in a way, because the other Super 7 blew a motor with only 2 laps left! We were closing on them, and it was going to be a good race, but sometimes "stuff" happens. Our car made it 2 laps further than theirs.
OK, Sniady.....1:57.988 at Laguna. Let's see it! I have had it long enough. Was your lap at Buttonwillow a track record?
Somebody posted something on the AROSC board that said only 2 Alfas finished the Enduro. Is that right? Didn't the black Milano finish? And Larry/Peter?

Peter and I finished; Frank/Chris/Phil (black Milano) finished; and Santos/Pietro finished. Not sure if there were other Alfas that made it...?

Yes, Anthony, the dark part is the go kart track. I'll try to post a better picture, and I'll email you the hi-res version directly.

Caption this one, too!
"Co-drivers Brad Gray and Terry Watson watch carefully as John Morton demonstrates the proper line thru the esses................
In his 1964 Beechcraft Debonair!"
In the process, John sets a new track record for prop driven, 3 wheeled vehicles!

Re: Sniady Class E????
Yeah, next time would be great, hopefully the red flag won't come up.
I pulled a high 2:16, not a record.
I let Anthony drive my car, and that helped me get an idea of what a good line was. The first day out, I was doing 4 wheel slides all over the place, I was in need of help.

Snaidy,
You better check the record books. Here are the track records from the AROSC website -
BUTTONWILLOW RACEWAY PARK CW
A 132.170 RIMICCI, ANTHONY GTA 6/4/00
B 132.754 ERICKSON, RUBE SPIDER 4/7/96
C 129.463 MANCHESTER, TERRY GTV 6/4/00
D 134.503 KATTCHE, CHRIS SUPER 6/4/00
E 141.030 RIMICCI, ANTHONY GUILIETTA 6/4/00
M 119.493 BRANDAU, MATT VIPER 6/4/00
N 123.693 BLIZZARD, BOB MUSTANG 6/4/00
O 128.200 DeArman, Daryl WRX 6/2/02
P 126.273 DeArman, Daryl RX7 6/4/01
Z 132.894 STOEHR, DIRK GTV/GT3 6/4/00
Anthony's time of 141.030 is over 5 seconds slower than your new track record!
Congratulations!

Jeff,
Those are not updated. The year after I did that lap time, my dad came back and beat me with a 2:15 so, he has it.

Regardless, he still beat you by 5 seconds! Pretty amazing for a rookie in a daily driver.

Congrats Sniady on such a good run!
Uh, could some one explain those times to me? 2:16 vs. 141.030?? It's all, (dare I say it?) Greek to me.
And just curious, what class would a bone stock 1600 GTV be placed in?
