Caterham rentals
I guess they make money by having the cars rented for every session, plus they bring 3 cars. I was sharing with 2 other guys at Laguna, so it looks like that car brought in $1,400 ($400 for me, $500 each for the other 2). Multiply by 3.......
It's still a deal. How much gas does your truck/trailer eat to-and-from Laguna? It's a sweet deal, and those cars are fast and fun to drive. BTW, they are charging us $1000 for the Enduro. Still worth it, considering it will have new race rubber, that we should go thru. Steve Luftman/David Krueger/Milt Minter will be driving the other one that is "race legal" in the enduro.

The caterham deal sounds really sweet. In fact, I had tried to convince my team members that was the way to go. A set of tires puts us half way there already.
To add to the team member list. Rick Lee will also be driving the Rx7 with Kim and I.

Anyone looking for another driver? As long as it's not another "o" car...can't be racing against my own teamates.

i am and so is gianfranco.
the caterham deal sounds great excpet for i don't like the fact that other people get that car rented in the same weekend. what if they crash, what if they break it. with that out of the way, its a great deal. anyone interested in getting their feet wet in the racing/time trial world should check the cars out.

Brad,
This question is kind of OT but what size motors are the 911's running 2.0, 2.4, 2.7, 3.0?
No specific reason Im just curious.

Simon,
Unless you ask the owner, it's hard to know. Some are running 2.7, 3.2, 3.4, 3.6, 3.8, RS motors, twin plug motors. Who knows if some of the 993 folks have varioram motors. But more than likely it will be a >3.0 motor. Because most of the 911s there seem to be of the 964 vintage or later.

motor size
I have no idea what motor size. Both 911s are in class N according to the entry forms.
Hey Anthony! Do you know if Dirk/Hans are entering?

Dirk has school that weekend so, he can't make it. If he can sneak outta class, he may drive up Saturday afternoon to watch me drive his Giulia Spider.
I dunno about Hans. Today at work, I saw his car jacked up and the wheels off. He could be getting it ready??

I'll be there.
Hopefully Time Trailing my daily driver. Where's Jthrean? Jeff, you have some competition coming you're way. I'll be in group E.
After the TT, I'll be Anthony's pit man for the enduro.

track config?
Anybody know for sure which track configuration and direction we'll be running at Buttonwillow next weekend? I'm pretty sure I remember Brad or someone saying we'd run the full course (minus the bus stop) like usual, but I don't think a definite answer was ever given as to the direction. Last june AROSC ran CW and that was fun, but I think CCW is more fun because the esses are right after the front straight

Snaidy,
I will go easy on you. I am going to bring the GTV this time instead of the GTV6. Going for handling over power. This is the stock GTV I just bought from our fellow BB member Lou Skoby.
Should be a lot of fun. Come on fellow AlfaBB members, bring out those stock Alfas and join Snaidy and I in group E. It looks like there are only three of us, so the odds of winning a trophy are pretty good. (well, second place trophy since I am going to be taking the first place trophy)
By the way, the trophies are actually a real nice silver platter with Alfa Club engraving. After you win a few times, you can use them to serve dinner to the whole family. Won't they be impressed?
Seriously, time trialing is a blast. For me the real competition is only with myself, learning to judge the car and the track and getting each successive lap time just a little quicker.

Enduro
I am looking forward to running the enduro with my friend Pete Procopio in his GTV. It's been a couple years since I have done an AROSC event. One more week, see you all there.
