Anyone know this Race Car?

I was going through some old photos and came across this one of an ALFA race car that ran in the notheast GT4 SCCA events. This photo was taken around 1982/83 but I don't recall the race track or event where I took it.

I believe it was campaigned by an outfit called Mecca Enterprises out of New England. The one thing I remember about that car was it had a full tube frame front end and was immaculately prepared...a real beauty.

Does anyone know where this car is now?

Hey Ross, think hard where and when you took this pic of GTA 752573 in Mecca livery and please re post in the Trans Am thread, for the record.

Ciao

FYI: Photofinishing shops often put a code on the back of the picture that contains the date (month and year) of when the picture was printed.

There's no time date stamp on the back of this photo which I think I took over 20 years ago. I'll talk to my ex business partner who I believe was with me at the time to see if he recalls the event where the car was photographed at.

Ken....I don't believe it was at a Trans-Am event. Why do you want me to post it in the trans-Am thread exactly?

Duhh.....I get it, I get it. My recollection of the car has obviously faded....(I could have sworn this was the tube front chassis ALFA I recall seeing back then). So I'll post that photo in that thread when I get an idea as to what race event that photo was taken at.

That area where the car was photographed sure looks like the old false grid at Lime Rock Park.

Mecca did, as I understand it, have a tube front in the chassis. I also understand that that is being removed as the chassis goes back to its 1967 livery. Mecca ran out of New England so it would be no surprise if the the track was LRP. Please post the pic in the other thread in case the current owner in not monitoring this thread.

Ciao

Ken
