Yet another illustration of the old saw "There's an a$$ for every seat". For those prices one could buy several race cars from different makes and have a stable to vintage race with!

It's the same mentality that allows new car dealers and some independent shops to charge 3X or 4X markup for parts. People just don't check on these things or know who to ask, and they want the best, not realizing the same part or service is available for a fraction the cost elsewhere. Also places that charge those kinds of prices excel in customer service--"free" ride to and from the dealer, nice waiting room, "free" coffee, etc.

Before you leap into the Ferrari business, consider who your clientele will be.

My guess is that for every few $1,200 interior stripping jobs, you will have to defend a lawsuit from some prima donna owner. I doubt many shop owners get rich dealing with the "gold chain" set.
