Daytona and 8C???

Pardon me if this has been addressed elsewhere, but is there any "official" word if the 8c will start at daytona for the 24 hours? The word from Alfa was that Dallara was prepping the 8c for the big stage. Its been really quiet. I searched the bb, but didn't find anything. I am blown away at the prospect of being able to root for an Alfa in a televised (in the US). I hope this comes to pass. It would be great to see the flag flying in the states. My fingers are crossed.

Dallara? What a nightmare that would be.

There are no 8Cs entered for the 24 hours, and it would be way too late to send one over now.

They are passing up an opportunity to make a statement with the flagship car. After all, what is Alfa doing these days? BTCC? OK, that's great. But they've got a long way to go to recapture their past glory. Why not make a serious effort? I guess I'm just ranting............

Lacking an Alfa to support, I hope you all will root for Team Seattle, which for the 11th (I think) year will be running on pledges supporting Children's Hospital. Don Kitch, team leader has been a big supporter of NWARC (even giving our club decals prime TV real estate!!) and is supported this year by at least 3 Alfisti from up here - Doc Doolittle (verdego on the bb) is the team manager, and Fred Wright (alfafredly) and Dave Kingstone (forgot his handle) are spotting in the turns.
If I weren't skiing at Sun Valley that weekend I would be watching as much of the race as I could.
Team Seattle has raised literally millions of $$ for Children's, btw.
