not bad, there is a nice thread about italian women going round

i know some here will agree with the commentators who suggested that alonso braked purposly to make hamilton crash but i reckon hamilton overran him. a mate told me today that renault quickly brought the telemetry over to maclaren to prove it.

Looks like F1 is coming back to the states, yea.
autosport.com - F1 News: F1 still on Indianapolis agenda

Could someone explain to me why MotoGP seems tied to F1, are there contractual agreements between the two?

Could anyone explain to me WHY F1 would come to Indianapolis when Watkins Glen (and Eliot [client 9] Spitzer's black book) could be available to Max [client F1] Mosley, et al?

Yeah, but at Spitzer prices, 5 at once could get quite pricey...

And Max couldn't afford it? With his (Nazi) $$, I'd think he could pay at least 10x what the son of a Jewish immigrant could afford.

Both are governed by the FIA?

It´s not true.

The World Championship for motorcycle racing was first organized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM, The International Motorcycling Federation) in 1949. Since 1992, the commercial rights are owned by Dorna Sports who has been adminstrating the World Championship.

Rules and changes to regulations are decided between the four entities: IRTA (International Road Racing Teams Association), MSMA (Motorcycle Sport Manufacturers Association) FIM and DORNA, with Dorna casting a tie-breaking vote.

The Official MotoGP Website

DORNA Sports is a Spanish company.

Dorna Sports S.L.

The FIA is the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, a different organization.

Yes I know, but so is WRC, WTCC, ,,,,,,,,,, and none of those seem to get mentioned with F1 when venue agreements are negotiated.

Just a moment on Jimmy Clark... some 40 years later:

I grew up with the ABSOLUTE certainty that Tazio Nuvolari was the best race-car driver that ever walked the planet! This was a genetic memory inherited from my father... even though he had never scene the Miastro of Mantua perform! (Go figure... I'm half Italian.)

BUT my other half is Scotch... (both genetic and liquid).

I did see Jim Clark at Riverside in a Lotus 40... ("Ten more mistakes than the Lotus 30") in the '66,??? Times Grand Prix. Even in a car that was monumentally outclassed by the competition... (Reminiscent of Nuvolari @ Monaco in '36) Clark was unbelievably terrific!

His smooth style has always been my benchmark. (seldom approached... sadly).

On bbc.com this morning, there's an article about Msr Bourdais balling up his STR in testing. However, an interesting thing that's mentioned is that in this testing session, some cars (such as Renault) "were on slicks, which will be returning in 2009"!! COOOOLLLL! Now lets bing back turbos and "the 3rd pedal", and see some glory-days-caliber F1!!! Woo hoo!
