Sport racing powered Alfa's

I thought it would be interesting to have a list of all the known Alfa powered Sport racing cars, there displacement and history and of course photos and point in time in which they were competive. Just a few that come to mind are Bobsy, Elva, Royale, Ausca, Lola.

Thanks Ken - Yes it counts, this is exactly the type of history I was hoping for. What year and running gear?

Yea, I've always been interested to find if any car had used Giulietta hardware (including suspension and brakes) for their sports racer.

(especially since I have many parts just sitting around...)

There is a mid 60's Genie sports racer with an Alfa 1300 for sale in California somewhere. I will see if I can find the details if you want.

In '84 I wanted to go vintage racing & bought locally a Bobsy SR3 w/o engine. I was planning to install an Alfa. 3 weeks later seller calls me & says to look at latest edition of Autoweek. Found a '65 Bobsy SR3 with a GTAjr engine. Turns out that that seller had a spare car also w/GTAjr, so I bought both. I now owned 3 SR3's. Have sold 2. 1st car went to Denver & had a 1300 Lotus installed. I believe it is currently in Texas, painted metallic blue w/yellow wheels.
The other car is in Atlanta w/1300 Alfa installed, painted yellow.
The car I kept now has a 1600 GTA. Hope to have it ready for next year. The original owner qualified 1st for the runoffs at Daytona (?) but got snookered at the start & finished 2nd.

While interested, I'm more looking for the "kit" 50's car that also may have used the Giulietta suspension and brakes. While they may have been drums, they were leading edge drums at the time.

So I'm looking for the 50's sports racer that may have used Giulietta parts.

Ausca Mark II

What happened to the Ex Kwech Ausca Mark II that was advertised on Race-cars.com?

1964 Ausca Sports Racer Spec Sheet

I remember when this car sold and heard someone was running it in vintage? Anyone have an update

This is indeed an interesting thread, but how does an OSCA count as Alfa-powered?
