I remember when the Galaxies first arrived at circuits in Britain. They were considered a joke - until we saw how how fast they were. And of course, they were difficult to overtake! The classic British saloon car racers at the time were Minis, Imps, Ford Anglias and Cortinas, and Jaguars - each of them dwarfed by the Galaxies. Racing was exciting, to say the least, on many of the tight circuits; the fastest brits would be all over them in the bends, only to get left behind on the straights. This often averaged out and provided really close races. Alan Mann was the first to enter these American Fords, and he hired quality drivers, but this paved the way for many more entries of American sedans; among them the Camaro, which was probably the most successful. I never saw the Barracuda or Mercury Comet race back then, but the Plymouth beat all the others at Goodwood, after the faster Mustangs were eliminated.

What was the estimated value of the Iso Bizzarrini car that was in the accident?

Sorry, but those are just "mid-years" without bumpers

Only 5 or so Grand Sports were made. Here's a photo - as you can see they are quite different from a stock bodied Corvette. They also "clone" them & I don't know if this is an original.

This was a VERY IMPORTANT Iso Griffo/Bizzarrini A3C, because this unit is chassis BO*0201, the very first ISO Grifo, the prototype seen at Turin Show.

Yes the car will be rebuilt, but sure, most of the peoble would consider its second life as a replica...

Really bad news.

I'd say that history qualifies for my "substantially more." Really bad news for sure.

I saw that ex-Sebring Bizzarrini in the UK a couple of years ago, it belonged to a friend of my dad's. The restoration was superb to say the least, and VERY loud indeed. Having known the cars of Bresso and Varedo nearly all my life, it's quite amusing to see how the so-called cognoscenti have suddenly 'discovered' the marque in the past few years ........
