Just one slight correction to the entry listings: "CA" is no longer valid for me. I'm now living in Corrales, New Mexico...although I do keep the race car, trailer, and motor-home in California... to be near my favorite race-prep shop (Santo's Italian Car Service) and better situated to run in the west coast VARA races.
My move to New Mexico is not a whim... both my parents were bourn in CA (1911 & 1914) so my CA roots go WAY back!
The California I grew up in is history... it's now a foreign place to me and many other "natives."
BTW: This does look to be a VERY special afternoon!

Just imagine, mine and Pat's children, 4th generation natives on my side, have no clue what the California that we know was even about.
What day is this race scheduled for? Is it between the 18th and 22nd or an add-on day?

It scheduled for Thursday, June 19th (4 - 8 PM)... Since wheel-to-wheel events are not allowed under AROC's insurance, this is not affiliated to the convention in any way. (Of course, the convention will start the next day, and many of us arrive the day before anyway. )
Best regards,

This months Alfa Owner in Chip's column shows the convention dates as running from June 18th - June 22nd; so while the wheel-to-wheel may not be sanctioned by AROC or a function of the convention, it appears to be within the dates that the convention is scheduled. Or else someone has misposted dates somewhere.
Better Wil? Me go off-topic, certainly you must be kidding.

The Convention actually starts on the 15th for those participating in the "Fangio" three day tour, ending on the 17th.
The Convention officially begins on the 18th with the National Board meeting and Welcoming Party.
The Time Trial Event is on the 19th at the Autobahn Race track and it goes from 8:00 AM 'till 4:00 PM, that event will "officially" be closed at 4:00 PM
"The BIG RACE", will be held at the same Autobahn track and it will "officially" be open at 4:00 PM and will go until 8:00 PM.
Those that will participate in "The BIG RACE" will most likely sign up for the AROC "Time Trial Event" earlier in the day. That allows them a 12 hour "trackaholic day"!!!
For more info. on the Convention dates go to this link:

The BIG RACE countdown! We are 1/4 of the way there.
Updated List:
Wil Painter (CA): ’66 Giulia Sprint GTV #36
Erik Wood (MO): ’66 Giulia Sprint GTV #9
Andy Besic (IL): ’69 1750 GTV #91
Ken Girard (IL): ’71 1750 Spider #38
Rick Clemente (NM): ’67 Giulia Sprint GTV (GTA replica) #33
Eliot Shanabrook (MA): ’74 2000 GTV #28
Charles Kingsley (IL): ’67 Giulia GT Junior #330
Mike Besic (IL): ’69 1750 Duetto #50
Mike Cudahy (WI): ’76 Alfetta GT #73
Rock Meskauskas (IN): ’78 Spider #90
Finally someone from Indiana! What's happening with all the racers from Michigan and Ohio? I'll give you Midwest and East coasters a fair warning, there is a hell of a storm coming from the far West!
Where are the '58 Giuliettas hiding, it is after all a 50th Anniversary party. The Giuliettas were the cars that created this mess.

Have you called Roman Tucker? He's got a fleet with all of his customers. I wish I could race, but even if I get my racer going, I'll not have the proper licensing.... (and more likely, I'll be in Arizona enjoying the heat.... )

Roman is well aware of it and is hoping he will have a bunch of cars under his tent. Many of us racers don't sign-up until the last possible moment. I am hoping for pictures sake that his customers sign up soon. It would be a shame to have some of the historically significant cars with taped numbers!

Another One Bites!
How about we add a *(star) in front of the number, better yet T/A in front of their original numbers?

Oh my! Indiana is moving very fast. Still waiting for those Giulietta's. Anyone race a Sprint Speciale? How about an SZ? There are two TZ's in the Chicagoland area, sure would be nice to see them moving fast.
Man, how I wish I had a racing license.
