JJ - don't worry,... money talks, and if that doesn't work you could always make the "offer he can't refuse"!
Best regards,

Why not?
Different classes for different folks?
As Fredly suggested. Multiple races with similarly prepared cars would make for more interesting spectating too.
And because so many of you seem interested in pitting Westies vs. Middies vs. Eastcoasters, how about a "team" event with trophies awarded based upon location of copetitors.
Ah - benchracing at it's finest!!

Like the Milano/75 - a rear-wheel drive (and an IN-HOUSE design effort by Alfa Romeo no less) is not a "real" Alfa...!?
Who was it again that designed the GTV...?

Planning? Get those PERT calculations ready.... oh, I forgot most of you engineers "fly by the seat of your pants" and only use formulas to argue on particular bb threads.
Sounds like Chicago is going to be a lot of fun with people we haven't seen at conventions for some time and some "real time" racing as a bonus.

Erik Wood

We need a lot more guys to make this happen! I know of at least a dozen that will come but will not add them unless they agree. If you want to be added to the list, simply reply to this page.

Come on JJ, it's just a joke! But to find out just how good that 75 is, I guess you will have to bring it. Now I'll be running a 2 liter. What are you bringing 3.7 liters?

That's the Lee Midgley GTA! The first time I photographed that car, it was in Road America approx. 10 + years ago. It's by far my favorite Alfa of all time, I get chills standing next to it. I go to these Vintage Festivals and you see al these beautiful restored cars, problem is, they look new, they have little connection to the era that they came from. The Lee Midley car still stinks from all the close calls the drivers have had. The soul of that car is still intact. Roman, the owner explained; "I have been rejected from some vintage races because the car doesn't look nice-enough".
I was given a video of that car terrorizing big block American musclecars with 4 times the horsepower. It has since been transfered to DVD, I wish I knew how to put it on you-tube. The video is taken from an inboard camera with Roman driving, great footage of it battling with at the time (Mike Besic @ Road America) now owned and raced by Erik Wood.
By far, my favorite GTA ever!

This is Frank Sible's beautiful GTV. I'm going to contact these guys and see if we can add them to the list.

Carm,
There is also Steve B., Ken G. (who presently owns 2 Alfa race cars), Gene Z. Rocky, and Charles K. who are all Chicago Alfa local racers who I am sure will come when I tell them about it. I am not sure if Frank has a wheel to wheel license. Craig B. will race something and we may have a few extra running race cars around for out of towners who want to rent some fun for the weekend! I believe there are a few more Alfas racing in Midwest council that would be happy to join the fray.
