I too am enjoying your poster. I have seen this in Competition Press/Autoweek (newsprint Grey about 11" x 17") and else where in black and white (about 8-1/2" x 11"). Can't say I remember seeing the orange (is that Kwech #3 orange do you think???) background before unless it was in the factory magazine ("Il Quadrifoglio"). What is the size and source of your poster.
I am currently awaiting delivery of an 8-1/2" x 11" version in B&W on white paper that was, I'm told, issued as promotional material to dealers at the time. So I hoping for a good quality reproduceable image.
I encourage a reprint issue and if I can help let me know.
Unfortunatatly #25 will (hopefully) only be as close to Chicago as Michigan this June.
Regards
Ken

Hi Ken,
The #3 will be in Chicago and it belongs to Dr. Martinez. We are working on getting three of the ex - Horst Kwech cars They were recently in Amelia Islands". I believe that the number of "race " and stradale" GTA is now around 12 cars in total. I hope to increase that number.
The photo is from the Italian "Il Quadrifoglio", if there is enough interest I'll get posters printed.

Hey Carm, a reprint should be done.
The use of the phrase "all three of the ex-Horst Kweck cars" may be misleading to some as there were more than 3. I guess you mean the 3 that were at Amelia.
There were 4 for sure.
-#6 GTA -1966;
-the 1967 Tri Colour GTA;
-#3 GTAj chassis with 1600-1970;
-1971 Orange GTV (I'm not clear if this same GTV was then repainted blue for 1972).
ciao
Ken

You're right Ken. Hey, will your car be at Roman's in that period? I know that the current owner of the ex - Ken Schley / Bobcor #52 is making a big push to have the car ready for Chicago.
Dr. Martinez's will have the following cars:
ex - Horst Kwech 1969 GTA, AR 775460
ex - Dick Davenport 1968 GTA Jr., AR 775621
ex - Lepro Autodelta 1965 GTA, AR 613642
BTW: I'll work on the posters.

Carm,
I have received and scanned, in 3 different formats, my copy of ALFA WINS from Walter Miller, the paper guy. You can see some wrinkling upper right and some notes and a date lower right.
Would it be a good source for your proposed poster? Send me an e-mail address and I'll send you the big files to check out.
Ciao
Ken

Carm or Ken,
Would we be allowed to participate in our Alfa powered 1964 Bobsy-SR2 (Court Whitlock) and 1965 SR-3 (Ward Witkowski) sports racers? We are often grouped with the small bore and also faster 2 liter cars in HSR Historic Sportscar Racing and SVRA. Both of us are on the fence for the convention unless we can spend the extra days participating with the GTAs and GTVs. Might give you a good run for your money. Cheers, Ward.

Is the red Bobsy Ward's car? It was yellow the last I saw it with the previous owner.

Hey Ed, It's Ward. Nope that's not mine. It's a long nose like mine but frontal area removed. I'll be at The Mitty and then to the Alfa Convention. Will probably have the Beck 1300 in it then. Court will bring his too, or his Duetto, or his SZ - he can't decide....what a nice problem to have. Cheers, Ward.

I took the pictures at Road America in 2001. I don't know who owns it, I thought it may have been Ward's or his friend Court's car.

Hi Ward, it's Carm here. Thanks for registering, you think you can convince your friend Court to bring the SZ? PLEASE

Pretty sure Court doesn't have a SZ. But if I recall, he does have an SS. Maybe that is what Ward was referring to. Maybe they will get a multi-car caravan coming up from Springfield, MO. My brother is trying to get an engine back together for his "104 Octane Boost" SCCA Giulietta.

BTW: Even with $4.00 + / gallon of diesel... I'll be there! Even though I have fallen out of a very comfortable retirement and I am opening 3 businesses at the same time... I WILL BE THERE!!!
To those lurking on the sidelines: IT'S TIME TO STEP UP! Any ALFA race-car that fails to show up for this event will be deemed to be a "didn't-all-so-ran" and will be devalued accordingly! Bring them ON!!!

A Cheese Party in CA
Rick, what's with all the cheese parties going on in CA ? I was told from more than one prospective "tifoso" that they could not make it because of a specific cheese and cracker convention in the west coast.
BTW: Jim Ashton will be bringing his '73 Montreal and a '70 Junior Zagato from CA. now that's what I call hard-core Alfista! I can make a list for you guys and see what areas everyone is coming from, the drive here can be fun with company.
