That spider was screaming fast. What happened to it?
We were the #70 Saab.
The transponder assigned had dead batteries... so everyone else got a 25 lap head start...

115 GTV. So rusted-out, nobody could complain about entering it in this type of race.

Turbo-bio-deisel benz. Amazingly fast. Undergoing some body repair here.
The benz drivers were from the "shortest distance between two points..."
school of driving.

Porsche dies early. Driver not taking it so well.

The #70 Boxwrench Saab (us) received some crunching early. A good shot
of some damage, and rustoleum durability.

20mb movie of about two laps worth of green flag action going into the
chicane. There were a variety of entry methods, my favorite being the
200 foot four wheel lockup, followed by a hard left through the dirt.
Don't bother turning up the sound, the wind was blowing about 40mph (it
is the Altamont, after all).

Best radio traffic I heard, "I think I'm on fire... no... wait... yeah,
I'm on fire. Uh, should I come in?"
