SVRA Road America
SVRA hosted a great event this past weekend @ Road America. I got there and set up next to Eric Wood and his 8 yr. old Crew Chief.
Lots of fun and lots of Alfa people showed up. I am sorry not to have memorized all of their names. There is a couple of Alfisti from Canada that keep going to several races and I can't remember their names , so please post back.
Working on pictures........

The SVRA has great events. Watkins Glen in September is another. I'd like to see RA one day

Eliseo,
Would love to see more photos of your car and congrats on turning some fast laps.
Link below is to photo of Erik's crew chief. Word on the street is that Erik may have difficulty keeping him. Seems he was offered a paid position by a Shelby Cobra team.

Cool pics. Love the green and yellow cars. To many Alfas, including
mine, are red.

Out of curiousity, how did the Alfas do against that orange #176 911. He runs out here on the west coast also.

We were both able to go by the # 176 - but those 6 cyl. are fast!
Eric can correct me but we were both faster in the back part of the track and we were both able to get by the 911's (# 2 and @ # 176) and 914 (blue/grey) in the carrusel and through the kink. The # 2 911 was able to get me in the main straight away and from turns 4 to 6 also a big straight.
Now, 911 # 110 driven very well by Lisa Hansen is another thing - too quick for both of us!

I couldn't remember the #176 car specifically, so I looked back at the results sheets. The driver is G. Braithwaite from Vista, CA. He ran a 2:49 in the first qualifying session and a 2:50 in the second. He apparently left after that, because there are no times in the third qualifying session, the qualifying race or the Group 8 race. Maybe he broke in the enduro? The fastest (supposedly) 2L 911's run around 2:40, while the best 2L Alfa times I've seen are about 2:43. I'm still in the 2:45's, but I'll get there eventually .
How's the #176 do out West?
Erik

He usually runs 4 to 5 seconds behind the fastest Alfas out here. Sounds like it's the same out there.
