Air Transport of Racing Cars

For those of you who may wonder how racing cars get from event to event on the planet, this is how. I took these pictures yesterday in the main deck cargo bay of a B-747. We flew a load of FIA GT Championship cars from Luxembourg to Macao. Picture of me is with a very sweet Ferrari. In case you're wondering, the load of cars was worth more than the airplane that was flying them . . . a lot more.

Pretty cool, It looks like you have enough room to drive one. All we ever get at my cargo job is boxes, although I used to work for Kitty Hawk and we would get a race car every now and then.

Now... can you please take mine from New Hampshire to Mosport or Waktins Glen? I'll guarantee the car will be worth a lot less, I mean a lot less than the airplane... Maybe you do not have the kind of run-off areas to land in those places eh?
Nice pictures! thanks for sharing!

I saw and sat in one of the teams DB-9 R's with the team a few monthes ago. They even turned on the motor. It was like a jet fighter.

Can't say I'm happy with the way no 22 is strapped down, what happens when the wheel rotates?
