1978 Long Beach GP pics
Here are some scanned slides I took at the 1978 Long Beach Grand Prix.
First is Emerson Fittipaldi in a Copersucar.
Next is Patrick Tambay in a McLaren.
Next is John Watson in a Brabham/Alfa BT46. I believe this is the non-fan version of the BT46, but I'm pretty sure the fan car also appeared at Long Beach that year, though I'm not sure I got pics of it.
Next is Niki Lauda in a BT46. He had been champion with Ferrari in 1977, hence his #1 in 1978.
The last two will be in a second post.
Next is Carlos Reutemann in a Ferrari 312T3, I believe.
Finally is Vittorio Brambilla in a Beta-March.
LBGP was not noted for great view or spectating. All these pics are obviously from my reserved seat, through the fence. I have better pics from 1979, which I'll post soon.
