traction off the line

hi all,
i have a giulia ti circuit car that isn't the quickest machine off the line.
the rear is quite low, i have been gradually lowering the car. the thing it it used to get off the line like a scalded cat.
is there a relation between a low car and speed off the line?
is this something that is due to the change in driveshaft angle?
or something more complicated?
if anyone has any experience with this issue id be keen to hear any suggestions..

thanks
ben

It`s not the driveshaft angle, but the change in the angle of the links locating the rear axle. For anti squat there should be a little upward angle toward the front on the lower arms. You might accomplish this by lengthening & reinforcing the lower links on the axle. However you should address as well the upper trunion angle or link if using a panhard bar or watts link as it affects the weight transfer as well. Find a copy of Carol Smith`s books, "Tune to Win" "Prepare to win" "Engineer to Win" etc.
