Hey George, if you get the spider to go that fast maybe we will let you bring it to our Italian car show here in louisville
What car are you bringing??
If you bring the spider we will have a place for sitting around and having cocktails. Seeing that it will need the motor home to bring the trailer not being street legal and all.We are planning to go out to dinner after the show.

Hi Paul.... you kinda highjacked the original thread, but, Marsha Hicks requested we bring the red '76 spider. If you can't get Jim Steck and Bonnie to Louisville, the FTD car from the last four AROC National Convention autocrosses will have to be a poor substitute. I will stock the tow vehicle refrigerator with adult malt beverages. Dinner sounds great if the restaurant has a big parking lot. But, if we have too good a time at dinner, does anyone have a big flat driveway that we can camp in for the night?

AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!! It is as sweet as it is because of the trials and years of effort to get there. Your effort is the essence of the ALFA competition heritage. Congratulations!!!

Well said... the entire team should recieve the AROC "Driver of the year" award, and maybe something extra for Jim. That Twin Spark engine produces some serious horsepower!.
What response, if any, from FIAT (Alfa Romeo)?

We don't expect one- they've never really cared before.
We have a lot of modifications in mind for next year, first on the list is a different cooling system, so that we can remove the opening front of the car for better areo (and more robust cooling for 500hp).
I know brian will be involved with the car over the next year, and hopefully that will result in a trip to the Flats for him next year as well.
BTW, for the 2007 Convention, there will be a tech session dedicated to Bonnie, it will be Saturday afternoon, on Aug 4. I will make sure Jim is done with all of the prep for the convention

Good job Bonnie! Thanks for bringing the Alfa marque out into the open for the first time here in a number of years.

Congartulations to the Bonnie team!
All Alfisti must be proud ! Including the Factoria. Whether they admit it or not, I am sure they are pleased.

"On his back up run Jim drove an average speed of 219.770MPH for the timed mile thus setting a new worlds record for B/GMS with the average speed being 217.xx MPH."
Not your average daily driver Wish I was there to hear that Alfa singing Congrats and more power to ya! All I need now is a listing of your part numbers so I can get more power in my 2 ltr. lump

We were just talking about that this morning. Now that Speed Week is over work can begin again on the kit.
