4 piston, vented brake kit for 105/115
For all you racers who want to out brake at the end of the straight to make that pass. This is my new revised front brake kit. Curve vane rotors with gas slots, Aluminum hats with NAS hardware. 4 piston Forged Wilwood calipers, and Wilwood Pads. More piston area and more pad surface area, still fits in 14" wheels and best of all almost 4 pounds less weight per side. I originally did this to make my Montreal stop good and it translates well to GTV's and Spiders. Must have late 105 and up spindles and hubs and then it all bolts on. $1250.00 for the set, any questions send me an Email

i just used..
4 piston calipers off a mazda rx-7 , and saab rotors, re-drilled to 108mmx 4. cost less than $100.00, brake calipers from local pick and pull, lots of mazda with those alum. 4 pot ca;ipers, and the rotors of a 85- 87 saab 900 turbo.easy to make the brakets to fit he calipers.

True there are cheaper ways, but some don't have time to randomly collect parts, run rotors to a machine shop, fabricate brackets, etc, etc.. Also these are new parts and new calipers, they don't need a rebuild.
It's not like I'm getting rich off these, just trying to maintain my good standing with wilwood to get the decent price on calipers and pads which I can pass along. If I wanted to make money I'd make Honda or Toyota parts

I think the quality of these are a lot better than the RX7/Saab set up. Look at those aluminum hats! Nice stuff...wish I could run them in vintage racing. These should draw interest from Alfa Club people. So the kit is for two complete rotors, calipers, and pads?

Are you going to Buttonwillow?
I wish I could......

i did not say..
that you where getting rich off the parts. i just said, i have been running mazda calipers and saab rotors for a while, and for quality? i guess my rotors that brembo made( for saab cars) are not that good?and for those mazda parts? same quality?..then i guess i should go back to those old solid disk and those wonderfull iron calipers? yes...not trying to be rude here, so if it sounds that way, i am very sorry..

Bianchi, some of us may be interested in what you have done with saab and mazda parts and interested in pictures as well could you please start a new thread on that topic rather than hijacking Larry's thread on his also intesting setup.
Thanks
Ken

I don't care to much everyone has there own thing, creating a part or system is part of the fun. I build alot of parts, 24V conversion headers, brake kits, etc. because alot of people don't have the time or tools or drive to build there own system. Your rotors are probably not curved vane, even if not, sounds like a nice setup and you should post pictures and info about it.

Larry, what about the master? Do you have to go up in size to compensate for pedal travel? And what would happen to pedal pressure? Harder/softer?
Do you know any of these results from the people who converted. Thanks, very interested. Peter. These would go on a '67 GTV

Nice looking set-up. What are the piston diameters on the calipers? And what type of pad and size do the Wilwood's use? That is, is there easy availability of different friction materials for the pad used in this set-up?

I also use a 24mm master, the stock aluminum master from a 164 is 24mm, good for moving more fluid and raising pedal level. We use 1.62 dia. pistons so there is a balance between pedal effort and travel. They work with 22mm masters, some travel and easy effort, and if one likes a bit firmer feel and less travel then the 24mm is nice. Wilwood alone make 7 different pads for the Forged Billet calipers and PFC, Ferodo and Hawk also make different pads.

I'll tell a couple customers who might find this interesting.
Yes, we're running at Buttonwillow. Good this motel room has wireless or else we'd have nothing to do out here. It's not the same w/o the silver GTV6.
