I wish we could get coverage over here!!! It's AMAZING that ESPN will cover Lawn Mower tractor racing and Pick-up Truck Mud/swamp racing, but they can't seem to find time to cover DTM, WTC, or even Kart racing!!!!

Speed TV ran some of the 2005 season on tape delay (months after the fact). Perhaps if we ask nicely they can run some of the 2006 season (especially the race in Mexico!).

I already posted this in another thread:

AlfaRonny, thanks for the link. I watched the first race from Mexico last night. I chose that one because I knew that Alfas came in 1 and 2.

I found it interesting that on the failing tarmac (it was breaking up and leaving small chunks everywhere) the Alfas seemed to do exceptionally well. In fact all the FWD cars did better than the only RWD entrants (the BMWs) on the crappy surface. The German cars were spinning out right and left.

But the last, decisive race is at Macao, the turf of BMW.

but Mexico was atypical...

Sure, I knew the season result before I watched the races from Mexico. But in a year when Alfa was not doing so well I was curious as to why they came in 1st and 2nd in BOTH races in Mexico. Especially since Farfus came from 7th to win the second race. The broken tarmac is the only thing I could seize upon. Also, the German cars did very poorly in a season when they usually were out front...

Another aspect is the "use" of the curbs. That is, flying over the curbs in every WTCC race, sometimes with all four wheels off the tarmac. It seems that the car that can gain traction first after landing should be fastest around the track. So much for not unsettling the car in the corners!

I know I've seen it on eurosport. My point was that on the last race BMW will always have the advantage as long as Macao isn't suffled or taken out.

Last year Farfus won the second race in Macao, so it isn't really a Beemer circuit. Even this year, he made a great start(despite his 80kg penalty weight), and if the yellow curse (Seats) wouldn't have pushed him out of the second corner, he would have been second at Lisboa corner. All he had to do then was keep his place to the finish line to be equal on points with Muller and Priaulx.
They would have had 72 points each, and final classification remained the same.
Priaulx 5 wins, Muller 4 wins, Augusto 3 wins...
