Thanks for the photos. I am surprised at the number of Alfas, as snow rallyes generally favor 4wd or FWD cars.

It's only from the eighties that 4WD became common in rallying.
In 1982 the great rally-driver Walter Rohrl said about the Audi Quattro: you can put a monkey in that car and it will stay on the road...
But he still won that year his 2nd Monte with a RWD Opel Ascona
