Nonleaking battery for 105 GTV?

My normal Kragen battery spills a fair amount of acid onto the inner fenderwell of my GTV in hard cornering now that I've started time-trialing. Is Optima the way to go? If so, who has them for a good price? Any other choices?

My battery is in the regular front location, and this is a street-driven car.

Thanks for any leads.

Get an Odyssey, Andrew. They weigh much less than a conventional battery (15lbs.), you can mount them in almost any attitude, they are supposed to last for 11 years, and they start my car just as well as my old Interstate Battery.

Andrew,

The lead/acid battery in my autocross Spider did the same thing, and I replaced it with an Optima. I have had no problems during 3 years of use, but there have been posts here claiming Optima batteries have been known to leak. Search the BB for Oddysey and Optima, where you will find additional information.

try batterymart.com for the Oddysey. My GTV is not street driven, so a small battery is fine. You might want a "standard size/amp" battery for street use.
