1.7 sud vs 3.0 75

Based on the racing scenes you guys observe, is the sud in competition with the 75 given that both are lightened track cars? Or is the sud out of league?

I believe there was a video on here not too long ago with some 75's and Alfasuds and I think the Alfasuds kicked *ss

I've thought about building a Sud, but given equivalent development, I think a 3.0 75 will be quicker.

However, you could make a Sud fast for less cash - the 75 will want big power, big brakes and big tyres to make up for its big weight. This will require big dollars (or pounds or euros).

The Sud could get a good power-up from going to a 1.7 quad cam and then make the most of that with modest brakes and tyres. In the end, putting the power to the ground will be the limiting factor.
