Fuel pump for '91 Spider

Does anyone know if the capacity of the stock fuel injection pump is adequate for substantial extra HP? I will be installing an aftermarket injection system on a '91 Spider 2000 motor and wonder if the pump will provide enough fuel. I estimate that the required flow will be about 1.2 liters/min at full power. Any experience out there with this?

Take a leaf out of the Import modifiers bag of tricks and go with one of Bosch's impressive replacemnt items coupled with an adjustable pressure regulator and a meaty return hose (Sorry getting a bit dreamy). but its a great setup if you don't mind the buzz of a pump and it not being original italian engineered gear.

It should be fine. On our turbo Spider, we used the original SPICA supplied pump to deliver the fuel. It was more than up to the task.

But if you want an excuse to go crazy, have at it!
